About the role

As the Development Manager, you will manage a portfolio of residential and community development projects across the full development life cycle, ensuring the successful delivery of projects against agreed development plans and realising the value and return expected in each feasibility.

You will play an integral role in planning and approvals, landscape and civil delivery, site maintenance and presentation, financial management and bank guarantees, and encumbrance management.

Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Support the planning process and development of land estates to ensure stage delivery is on budget and within predetermined timeframes.
  • Manage a wide range of external contractors to perform development activities, ensuring Work, Health and Safety requirements are compliant.
  • Develop and monitor project management plans including milestones, risks, and resources and provide timely and accurate reports detailing development progress and commercial outcomes.
  • Effectively build and maintain strong stakeholder relationships with builders, partners, and contractors to ensure successful delivery of projects.

About you

  • Demonstrated experience managing projects within the land development and / or civil construction
  • Strong organisation skills with the ability to manage multiple projects with competing priorities
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to negotiate and communicate across all levels for projects with complex outcomes.
  • Strategic and commercial thinker with the ability to manage projects to time and budget, delivering successful outcomes
  • Tertiary qualification in Property Development, Civil Engineering, Project Management, Architecture, Planning, or similar or demonstrated equivalent experience
